Journey the Ancient Asian Trade Route

The Silk Road, published by DNA Multimedia, is a multimedia journey through the ancient trade route of Asia. Students travel to the markets of Kashgar, voyage across the Karakoram Highway and experience the vastness of the Taklamakan desert.

Via a series of sophisticated games, students can absorb philosophy as told by Buddhist monks, construct a yurt in the village of Tian Chi, play a game of Dharma with the Life Simulator, and take the ultimate test of knowledge at the University of Dunhuang.

Silk Road received first prize in the Educational Multimedia category at Macromedia's People's Choice Awards, chosen from among 600 entries, on the heels of winning three golds at the International Digital Media Awards.
