Grant: $18 million in grants

Description: SMARTer Kids Foundation announced that $18 million in grants are available for the 1999/2000 school year. The grants are open to accredited non-profit public and private schools, colleges and universities across North America. Grants can be applied towards the purchase of SMART Board or Rear Projection SMART Board interactive whiteboards, SMART Expression mobile, multimedia cabinets or SynchronEyes classroom instruction and computer-control software. Awarded on a per-unit basis, there is no limit on the number of grants that may be provided to a single educational institution or school district. Applications are available at www.smarterkids.org/grants and must be received by midnight on August 31, 2000.
