Patch Cords and Training Module Help Bring Schools Up to Speed

Leviton’s Colored Patch Cords, now available in Power Sum, GigaMax or eXtreme, come in white, red, yellow, green, blue, gray or black. They provide optimum headroom and return loss that maximizes the potential of the system. Power Sum and eXtreme cords are guaranteed to meet or exceed the latest in industry standards. GigaMax Cords with black strain-relief boots meet the very newest TIA-EIA TSB-95 guidelines for supporting 1000Base-T applications. The cords are available in lengths of 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 and 20 feet.

Also from Leviton is a comprehensive training module for its Thread-Lock fiber connections. The Thread-Lock line of fiber optic connectors feature field-configurable connectors in ST, SC and FC styles that install in under two minutes without the need for heat, epoxies or other complicated assembly techniques.

The module consists of a step-by-step video demonstration, a pocket guide and an optional CD-ROM version of the video training with interactive controls. The video portion features all three Thread-Lock connection types (SC, FC and ST), as well as various fiber optic cables including jacketed cable, loose-tube gel-filled cable and distributed cable.
