New Releases - LINUX OS

Three versions of Corel’s LINUX OS are now available. The no-charge download version is available from Corel’s Web site (www.corel.com). Available on CD are the Standard version and the Deluxe version. The download version includes LINUX OS, KDE Desktop, Corel Install Express, Corel Update and Corel File Manager. The Standard version includes all the aforementioned programs, plus Netscape Communicator, Adobe Acrobat, Instant Messenger, and Corel WordPerfect 8 for Linux. The Deluxe version includes everything in the Standard version plus BRU Backup software, Corel WordPerfect 8 clipart and the Civilization: Call to Power game.

 

Also available from Corel is WordPerfect Office 2000 for Linux. This fully functional office suite offers the same applications and import/export capabilities as offered in the rest of the WordPerfect line. Applications included in the suite are Corel LINUX OS, WordPerfect 9, Quattro Pro 9, Corel Presentations 9 and CorelCENTRAL 9. In addition to these applications, the WordPerfect Office for Linux Deluxe version offers Paradox 9-enhanced technical support. Both versions of the suite are compatible with the Windows version of WordPerfect Office 2000 and will install on most major Linux distributions.
