Supplemental Education for Elementary Students

Developed by ChildU, The Learning Odyssey is an online program that enables students to do schoolwork on any Internet-linked computer, whether they’re in the classroom, at home, or in an after-school program. The program offers a comprehensive, individualized curriculum for grades 1-8, delivered entirely online. Over 600 learning activities per grade comply with national and state standards and are enhanced by powerful, grade appropriate Web links, animations, and video and audio clips.

The Learning Odyssey is designed for use by teachers and students in classrooms as an educational supplement and as a tutoring and enrichment tool for use at home. The program aims to foster parental involvement in a child’s education and give students individualized attention. Through placement tests and ongoing assessment testing, The Learning Odyssey evaluates each student’s strengths and weaknesses and creates a self-paced curriculum where the child can work in his or her own individualized learning environment.
