Organize Your Course Materials on the Web

Classpage is a Web-based application that offers high school and college instructors free Web pages for distributing course materials and keeping track of grades. The service lets instructors host class message boards, post and archive documents or other digital files, and periodically poll students about how much they are learning. An online class roster allows students to post details about their studies and their interests, along with their e-mail addresses and links to favorite Web sites. With instant messaging tools, instructors can place announcements or send e-mails to individual students or groups.

Classpage was designed by Ph.D. instructors working to facilitate academic communication and reduce paperwork. A gradebook feature lets instructors keep track of grades and distribute them privately to students. A simple, intuitive interface makes it easy for educators to upload information directly from their computers to the Web. Since the service operates entirely online, instructors and students don't need to download files or install any software, and Classpage can be accessed from any computer connected to the Internet.
