Plug-and-Play ADSL

Infinilink Corp. has introduced the full rate (up to 8 Mbps) i200 ADSL Modem. It complies with current industry stands, supporting connections at up to 8 Mbps with telcos and service providers using G.dmt and T1.413i2 standards. It also provides full G.lite (1.5 Mbps) compliance, including fast retrain for the services most frequently supplied to homes and schools. The modem supports all four ADSL data encapsulation techniques, and provides comprehensive interoperability with virtually any telco manufacturers’ equipment.

A plug-and-play PCI device, the i200 works with all recent Microsoft Windows releases, including Windows 95, 98, 2000 and NT4. While using virtually no host CPU power, its architecture eliminates the need for the onboard microcontroller that adds to the cost of most DSL modems. As a result, the unit is priced at under $200.
