Comprehensive Accountability Solution Available Online

NCS Pearson’s NCS4School Solution Suite is an online solution that will help improve student performance and make it practical for districts to implement a comprehensive system for accountability in K-12 education. The solution connects administrative and financial services, instruction and curriculum, testing, and a community coordination program into one seamlessly integrated online solution. NCS4School is delivered on the educator’s desktop using a standard browser interface.

The solution includes an array of resources and tools that allow teachers to track and evaluate student performance on a wide range of indicators, from attendance to mastery of objectives aligned with state and district standards. Using lesson plan and curriculum resources from sources such as NCS Learn and content providers such as Prentice Hall and Scott Foresman, teachers can prescribe customized learning resources for each student. Using the system’s communications capabilities, assignments customized with notes and relevant resource links can be e-mailed to students, parents and other teachers.

The solution’s Web-based testing services offer browser-based testing and assessment in a secure environment. Student practice tests are aligned to state standards and online scoring. Once submitted by students, test results can be automatically posted to the teacher’s grade book. NCS Pearson, Mesa, AZ, (800) 431-1421, www.ncspearson.com.
