New from Premio Computer, Inc. is the Ph'enix 1U Rackmount server. Compact by design, the rack-optimized server supports dual processor configurations, thus meeting the needs of the most demanding education environments. Utilizing the ServerWorks ServerSet III HE-SL chipset, the ultra-slim Ph'enix 1U server is configured for single or dual 1 GHz and 4 GB Intel Pentium III (FC-PGA) processors. Supporting up to 133 MHz front-side bus, the server’s features include a 64 bit PCI riser slot, a dual channel Ultra 160 SCSI controller, an integrated 8 MB AGP VGA controller, and two Intel 10/100 Mbps Network Interface cards.

With a 250-watt power supply and an integrated U160 SCA back plane, the Ph'enix 1U offers a combination of computing power and configuration flexibility. Measuring only 22.67” x 16.77” x 1.72”, the server fits conveniently in a single rack cabinet, and is ideally suited for schools and universities that require both space efficiency and high performance. Built to order, the server comes with 24X CD-ROM and floppy drive, a single Intel Pentium III 866 MHz processor, 128 MB SDRAM, and a 9.1 GB Ultra3 10K hard drive in its standard configuration.
