Epson Stylus Photo 820

The Epson Stylus Photo 820 printer is the latest photo printer from Epson America, and is being touted as fast and affordable. The printer speeds through black text at up to 12 pages per minute (ppm), prints a 4" x 6" photo in 48 seconds and an 8" x 10" photo in less than two minutes on photo paper. It's even faster on plain paper at just 45 seconds. Images produced have up to a 2,880 x 720 dpi resolution and can resist fading for up to 25 years with Epson's optimized combination of photo inks and fade-resistant papers.

The printer also offers Epson's Advanced Micro Piezo inkjet technology and a six-color photo ink system for creating great detail, more accurate skin tones and an ultrawide color range designed for photography. For educators who are particularly concerned about detail, the Epson Stylus Photo 820 uses tiny four-picoliter droplets for smooth gradations and "dotless" photo quality for prints that are indistinguishable from traditional photos. Prints can be produced in a variety of frame-ready and album-ready photo paper sizes. Photos can be printed on Epson's Borderless 4"x 6", 5" x 7", 8" x 10" and letter-size photo papers.
