Knowledge Adventure to Operate Under 'Sunburst'

Knowledge Adventure School Division and Sunburst Technology have announced that they will now operate as one entity under the Sunburst Technology name. The education software publishers are part of Vivendi Universal Publishing. Sunburst Technology is a division of Houghton Mifflin Co. based in Boston, Mass.

Sunburst plans to expand its current grade- and subject-based product series, and launch several new series publishing under both the Knowledge Adventure and Sunburst brand names. Together, the two companies offer more than 250 individual software titles, 20 software series and more than 250 video titles. The company expects to release more than 80 new Sunburst and Knowledge Adventure school products this year, including Learner Profile 3.0, four new JumpStart Learning System titles for children in preschool through second grade, and Respect: It Starts With You.
