A Macintosh version of To Market, To Market, a mathematics software program that builds on children's intuitive sense of quantity, is now available. To Market, To Market approaches early mathematics through comparison. Based on research conducted by Learning in Motion and the Freudenthal Institute, the program offers a positive, early experience with numbers that is crucial to success in mathematics.

The program invites children into the fanciful marketplace of Ms. Butterfly, Mr. Dragonfly and Ollie the Octopus. Using grouping tools, visual comparison and audio clues, children build confidence with large numbers, while helping animated shoppers move through an open-air market. A special version of To Market, To Market adapted to the needs of children who are hearing impaired is scheduled for release in 2003.
