Digital Imaging Software: Deneba Software

Deneba recently released Canvas 8.0.2, a Windows XP upgrade of its Canvas 8, a cross-platform precision illustration application with integrated photo editing, page layout, presentation and Web graphics design features. It offers full support for fast user switching, remote desktop, multiple monitor support, limited user operation and full integration with the Windows Installer. Also, all Canvas settings are saved within the current user's folder so that multiple users can use Canvas on one machine. This allows simultaneous launches from within different user logins. The Canvas 8 upgrade also defaults to the most recent location for storing user files. Canvas contains hundreds of enhancements and innovative features, including vector and raster Sequence Recording and Scripting, Web Image Slicing, and direct Flash and PDF export capabilities. The Scripting Engine contained within Canvas allows scripts written in VBScript, JScript and other Windows Automation-compliant systems to perform time-consuming and repetitive tasks quickly without human intervention. Routine functions such as downloading files from the Internet or batch-processing images for use in print or on the Web can be fully automated. Canvas 8 is also compatible with Mac OS X.
