PocketClassroom Connects Teachers, Students With Handhelds

ELearning Dynamics (www.elearning dynamics.com) has released the Windows Pocket PC version of its Palm OS-based LearnTrac classroom assessment and communications software, PocketClassroom. The PocketClassroom application is a two-way classroom communication and management program that utilizes handheld devices and wireless connections. Using the 802.11b wireless standard, PocketClassroom connects teachers and students by way of their handheld devices. The system enables teachers to wirelessly administer tests. It then grades and records the scores for the teacher's convenience. The program also offers students the ability to ask the teacher for help without having to raise their hands, which is especially beneficial to shy or learning-disabled students.
