Discovery Acquires United Learning

Discovery Communications Inc. (www.discovery.com) has recently announced the acquisition of United Learning (www.unitedlearning.com). This merger aims at benefiting schools nationwide, as both United Learning and the Discovery subdivision, Discovery Channel School, will be able to combine their educational content to offer educators a broader selection of materials.

United Learning brings to the merger digital video content in core curriculum areas and educational prevention videos for the social sector. This is in addition to United Learning's unitedstreaming subscription-based Internet delivery application. These materials combined with Discovery Channel School's educational videos, and print and multimedia resources make for an improved collection of educational content.
