2004 Conference on Information Technology

November 7-10 · Tampa, FL

The League for Innovation in the Community College’s annual Conference on Information Technology (CIT) caters to community college and technical school officials, offering a diverse program and cutting-edge exposition. This year’s keynote speakers include Jeb Bush, governor of Florida, and Carol Twigg, executive director of the Center for Academic Transformation.

The conference features a state-of-the-art technical infrastructure with more than 600 fully networked computers, high-speed Internet connections, and hands-on computer labs open 24 hours a day for e-mail and Internet access. Conference sessions will be available in four formats: The Forums are traditional one-hour sessions that feature a successful practice or key issue. The Hands-On Alley Labs provide one-hour sessions where attendees can experience and practice the skills that community college practitioners demonstrate. Special Learning Center Courses will be offered as three-hour sessions that deliver a body of practical knowledge. Finally, the Poster Sessions take the form of an exhibit, and are primarily delivered through the use of graphs, diagrams and pictures. For full conference details, visit www.league.org/2004cit.
