Fla. Program Aids Hurricane-Ravaged Schools, Libraries

The State Library and Archives of Florida and Thomson Gale have launched a collaborative program that gives those K-12 schools and public libraries damaged by the hurricanes free access to the Thomson Gale online subscription databases until the end of the 2004-2005 school year. These schools and libraries will also receive an additional 20% discount off any Thomson Gale reference books they purchase to replace damaged books until the end of this year or, if a library is completely destroyed, until it has been rebuilt. For more information on the program or making donations, visit http://dlis.dos.state.fl.us/disasterrecovery.
