The Center for Information Assurance and Security (CIAS)

The Center for Information Assurance and Security (CIAS) has been founded at the University of Texas at Austin. Created to address the nation’s growing problems with cyber security, the center’s primary objectives include conducting research that will lead to innovative security solutions and addressing the need to produce more trained professionals in the field. The center will operate as a multidisciplinary initiative involving business, government and academia. A diverse team of researchers, faculty and students will control the center’s dynamic focus.
