T.H.E. Journal Webinar: WiFi on Campus

11.16.2006—T.H.E. Journal today hosts another in its series of education technology Webinars, this one covering the topic of wireless networks. Entitled "WiFi on Campus," the event will look at successful implementations of wireless networks in K-12 and university environments.

WiFi on Campus is a free, 60-minute Webinar that will look at the "intimidation factor" of deploying a secure, wireless network, and speakers will cover step by step the process of launching a wireless LAN. The event will cover top issues involved with the deployment, ways to address these issues, tips for organizing the deployment and lessons learned from wireless pioneers. Panelists will also answer questions.

Speakers for the event include:

  • Geoff Fletcher, Editor-at-Large, T.H.E Journal
  • Lori C. Jones, Director, Information Infrastructure, Northside ISD
  • Brad Noblet, Consultant, Former CTO, Dartmouth

The event takes place Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. PST.
