PEARSON KNOWLEDGE TECHNOLOGIES has unveiledWriteToLearn 3.0, the latest update to its writing development andreading comprehension tool. The system measures student essaywriting using Pearson’s Knowledge Analysis Technologies engine,which evaluates the meaning of text by examining whole passages,then scores the essay’s ideas, organization, conventions, sentencefluency, word choice, and voice. WriteToLearn also shows studentshow to improve their scores. Price: Starts at less than $20 per student.
