Siemens To Provide Backbone for PosTrack Hosted VoIP

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

PosTrack Technologies has signed Siemens Communications to provide the backbone for PosTrack's hosted VoIP solutions for K-12 and higher education. PosTrack will use Siemens' OpenScape Voice and HiPath MobileConnect technologies to deliver unified communications and mobile capabilities for schools.

Through the deal, which includes 10,000 OpenScape Voice licenses, PosTrack will provide three hosted services:

  • PosTrack Trunking for legacy PBX systems;
  • PosTrack Desktop for delivering SIP service to desktop phones; and
  • PosTrack Mobile.

"PosTrack and Siemens are delivering a turn-key open communications solution that eliminates the need for customers to purchase and maintain a VoIP and unified communications system on their own," according to the companies. "Hosted voice services can help customers reduce CAPEX and ongoing management resources and expenses. Additionally, customers use and pay for only the communication applications and features they need."
