EBSCO Intros Full-Text History Abstracts

EBSCO Publishing has announced it will now include full text historical abstracts and related resources as part of the Historical Abstracts and America: History & Life databases on its EBSCOHost reference site.

Encompassing world history from the 15th century to present day, Historical Abstracts covers all significant events affecting all geographic and demographic segments of the world, including world exploration and conquest, wars, political and spiritual movements, and the individuals whose accomplishments have stood the test of time. The database offers the full text of nearly 300 history journals, 130 books, and additional articles from more than 1,800 journals in 40 languages.

America: History & Life offers resources on the history of the United States and Canada dating from the pre-colonial period to today, with the full texts of 200 journals, 100 books, and additional articles from more than 1,700 journals. In addition to English-language articles, the database contains resources that offer perspectives from overseas observers in more than 40 languages.
