Brief: NetTrekker Releases Igotta

NetTrekker has released igotta, a virtual workspace for students to organize, analyze, and use information for assignments.

Igotta is designed to be used with netTrekker, the company's search tool for K-12 students. NetTrekker's search results are culled from more than 300,000 digital resources curated by educators and aligned to state standards.

According to information released by the company, igotta is designed to help students develop critical thinking and information literacy skills while working on writing assignments, presentations, and other projects. Specific skills that igotta can help students with include:

  • How to incorporate multimedia;
  • Proper citation;
  • How to organize their thoughts;
  • Research;
  • Note taking; and
  • How to paraphrase information.
