Free SIS Adds CALPADS 2.0 Compliance

Novachi has updated its free combined student information and course management tool to be compliant with version 2.0 of the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System.

According to information released by the company, "Novachi SIS allows drop-down selection for all available codeset, real-time contextual validation as the user enters each field, and static validation before committing each record." The SIS also automates calculations such as staff total years of employment and produces CALPADS-compliant XML records.

The online service features secured internal e-mail and can also be used to create assignments, grade homework, take attendance, develop lesson plans, calculate grades, publish syllabi and calendars, and produce progress reports.
