New Kits Extend USB 2.0 300 Feet
The Trulink series from Cables To Go stretch USB 2.0 to 328 feet.
Cables To Go has rolled out a series of kits that can lengthen the distance between two USB 2.0 connections to a maximum distance of 328 feet.
For extension purposes, the new kits offer dongles or single gang wall plates that connect with devices through USB cables and link to each other via a CAT5 or a CAT6 cable. In addition to extending the distance between two USB 2.0 connections, the kits also offer the ability to charge a USB device attached to a dongle or wall plate.
A total of four kits have been released: the Trulink USB 2.0 Superbooster Dongle Kit, the Trulink USB 2.0 Superbooster Wall Plate Kit, the Trulink USB 2.0 Superbooster Dongle Transmitter to Wall Plate Receiver Kit, and the Trulink USB 2.0 Superbooster Wall Plate Transmitter to Dongle Receiver Kit.
The Trulink USB 2.0 Superbooster Dongle Kit offers one receiver dongle and one transmitter dongle, while the Trulink USB 2.0 Superbooster Wall Plate Kit contains one wall plate receiver and one wall plate transmitter.
All kits ship with a one foot long USB A/B cable, a power supply, a quick start guide, and 14-inch cables ties. Ports include USB type B female, USB type A female, and RJ-45.
The kits are covered by a one year warranty and currently ship for $359.99.
