NEA Chief Economist to Speak at Ed Tech Forum
Dr. Richard Sims, chief economist at the
National Education Association, will speak alongside other industry leaders on the realities and challenges of today's education technology market at the upcoming Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA)
Ed Tech Business Forum, Nov. 28β29 in New York.
With a theme of "Doing Business in the New Normal," the conference will center on the economic landscape for education technology companies, and look at both current financing options, as well as future growth opportunities and business strategies.
Sims, whose presentation is titled "The New Normal Economy--Two Years Later," will be featured alongside three other speakers, including:
- Michael Moe, co-founder, GSV Asset Management and GSV Advisors, who will present "American Revolution 2.0: How Innovation is Transforming Education;"
- Cameron Evans, US Education Chief Technology Officer, Microsoft, who will present "The New Normal for Technology;"
- and
Bob Wise, a former governor of West Virginia, president of the Alliance for Excellent Education, and current co-chair of the Digital Learning Council, who will present on "The New Normal of Digital Learning."
The event will also feature a speed networking event, a showcase of new-to-market products, and a forum for company executives to meet potential investors. The
