Vidyo Intros Virtualized HD Video Conferencing System

Vidyo will be demonstrating its new virtualized HD video conferencing solution, VidyoRouter Virtual Edition (VE), this week at Enterprise Connect in Orlando, FL. VidyoRouter VE is scheduled for release later this year, according to an announcement today from the company.

VidyoRouter VE uses virtualization technology to enable multi-point video conferencing on mobile devices, desktops, room and telepresence systems over any IP network. The new product uses Vidyo's Adapative Video Layering technology, which is designed to optimize video streams to the maximum capability of the user's device and network environment.

Additional product features include:

  • Supports up to 1440p/60fps with low latency (less 20ms);
  • Secures signaling links by TLS and media streams through SRTP and AES 128-bit encryption;
  • Capable of extending system capacity via additional network VidyoRouters; and
  • Compatible with legacy systems through the use of VidyoGateway.

Enterprise customers can share licenses and transfer capacity between sites. Users can also upgrade capacity through Vidyo's "pay as you grow" option.

VidyoRouter VE is expected to be available later this year. For more information, visit Vidyo's Web site
