Steelcase Intros New Active Learning Furniture

Steelcase Education this week introduced Verb, a new line of classroom furniture, and an updated version of its active learning chair Node at SCUP’s 47th Annual International Conference & Idea Marketplace in Chicago.

Verb is a collection of student tables, educator stations, personal ceramic steel whiteboards, and displays designed to foster collaboration in the classroom. Verb's instructor station comes with space for storing materials, an adjustable, rotating lectern, and casters for easy mobility. The chevron-shaped student tables include side hooks as well as side and center docks for whiteboards. Verb's display easel features two shelf tiers, for holding whiteboards or other presentation materials, plus rails for additional items.

The updated Node activity chair now offers adjustable-height five-star base with work surface. The work surface includes a stand for holding tablets or smartphones.

Additional details about the new furniture collection can be found at Steelcase's Web site.
