Edgenuity To Integrate NWEA MAP Data with Learning Platform

Online blended learning provider Edgenuity will integrate the Northwest Evaluation Association's (NWEA) data from grade 6-12 English language arts (ELA) and mathematics assessments with its blended learning management system.
The agreement, which will go into effect later this year, will allow instructors to import student MAP (measures of academic progress) assessment data from NWEA's reporting system into the Edgenuity learning platform.
Based on the students' MAP assessment results, the Edgenuity system will generate individualized learning paths (ILPs) linked to the Common Core and state standards and designed to specifically target ELA and math skills and concepts for students in grades 6-12 based on grade level and individual student needs.
Each path contains video lessons that incorporate interactive tasks and activities that provide teachers and administrators with immediate feedback that can be used as a road map for determining if students have mastered the material.
Edgenuity's ELA learning paths focus on reading comprehension and analysis of nonfiction and informational texts, grammar, and mechanics. Its mathematics learning paths target concepts and skills required for learning Algebra, including number properties, arithmetic with integers and rational numbers, proportional reasoning and relationships, and basic algebraic manipulations.
