Devolutions Releases Remote Desktop Manager 9.0 Beta

Devolutions has released a beta version of Remote Desktop Manager (RDM) 9.0, a remote desktop connection and credentials management tool.

Remote Desktop Manager lets users store and manage their remote desktop connections, passwords, and credentials on a single platform. According to a news release from the company, the new version offers increased overall performance, new intelligent cache optimization for loading large data sources, and the ability to modify and edit connections and credentials while offline. Offline editing "is a huge benefit for IT pros and teams who work offsite," said David Hervieux, CEO of Devolutions, in a prepared statement.

Other new features and improvements include:

  • Session default values;
  • A "My Personal Credentials" option;
  • Private connections list per user;
  • The ability to re-open the last data source on startup;
  • A play list for organizing or opening a group;
  • Offline mode with read/write support;
  • A "to-do" management portal;
  • Intelligent cache to optimize large data source loading;
  • Improved document management;
  • Improved contact management; and
  • Native integration of 1Password and LastPass.

Remote Desktop Manager 9.0 beta is available for download now. New users can try the product for free for 30 days. Standard and enterprise editions are available. The standard edition is free with no expiry date but has a reduced feature set. The enterprise edition is available by subscription.
