Crestron Debuts Ultra-Compact Room Media Controller

Crestron has debuted its smallest AV and environmental systems room controller to date, the RMC3.

The RMC3 is designed for monitoring and controlling "a single display device, AV system, lighting and shading, climate control, security, energy management, and many other specialized applications." Part of the 3-Series Control System line, the RMC3 is an IP-based device with support for power over Ethernet.

Features include:

  • A bidirectional COM port (RS-232/422/485);
  • Two IR ports;
  • An RJ-45 jack;
  • Two programmable relay ports (for controlling screens, doors and other contact-closure equipment); and
  • Two digital input ports for integration with occupancy sensors or other devices.

The Crestron RMC3 Room Media Controller is being displayed this week at the 2014 Integrated Systems Europe conference in Amsterdam.
