Cloud-based Math Program Free to Summer Schools This Year

To help keep students’ skills sharp during the summer, a new math initiative is offering free access to a cloud-based secondary math curriculum to summer school programs across the country.

The program, called KnowRe e-Camp, named for the company sponsoring it, KnowRe, covers both Pre-Algebra and Algebra I material. Lessons include  interactive step-by-step instructions, math concept videos, challenging practice and application problems, cartoons and more. Continuous student assessment and data helps instructors discover student knowledge gaps.

"Speaking with our current school users, we realized that there is a great need for engaging and effective summer school curricula," said David Joo, KnowRe’s co-founder and co-CEO in a statement. "By offering KnowRe at no charge this summer, we wanted to show our support for summer school math teachers and help bridge their students' learning gaps to better prepare them for school next year."
