PresenceLearning Offers Free Webinar on Implementing CCSS for Students With Communication Disorders

To expand speech-language professionals’ and special educators’ understanding of their role in implementing the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for students with severe communication disorders, online speech therapy provider PresenceLearning is hosting a free webinar called “CCSS & Severe Cognitive Disabilities.”

The webinar will take place Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 5 p.m. Pacific time. Presented by special education administrator Barbara J. Moore, this is first webinar in PresenceLearning’s new EXTRA CREDIT summer series.

The two-hour webinar will discuss the key components of the CCSS, compare alternate assessments and evaluate the role of the speech-language pathologist in the implementation of CCSS for students with severe communication disorders. After completing the 2-hour webinar, attendees will receive 0.2 continuing education units from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
