myON Adding Close Reading Tools to Digital Books

myON is adding new tools, like highlighting and note taking, to its library of digital books to support close reading skills.

These literacy tools will be added to the company’s existing digital collection of more than 7,000 enhanced digital books, which also feature multimedia and embedded assessments. 

"The millions of students reading on myON thus far have experienced incredible reading growth," said myON President Todd Brekhus in a statement. "We are so excited to see the growth of these students when they can perform close reading tasks within our platform."

According to the company, throughout the next year more new features will be added to the digital books. The company is offering the new tools to all customers for a limited time.

myON will be exhibiting in booth 2148 at the ISTE 2014 conference taking place in Atlanta June 28–July 1.
