Shmoop Launches Test Prep for PARCC Assessments

Digital publisher Shmoop has unveiled four new study guides designed to help students prepare for PARCC Common Core assessments.

The new study guides include Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry and Grade 11 English Language Arts. Features of the new assessment prep tools include:

  • A full summative assessment with multiple choice, drag-and-drop, hot spot, graphic response and equation response item types;
  • An overview of the PARCC system, including explanations of technology-enhanced item types;
  • Math drills grouped by model content framework; and
  • ELA drills grouped by task model.

"Students, teachers, and administrators have a huge challenge ahead of them," said Ellen Siminoff, president and CEO of Shmoop, in a prepared statement. "Our goal is to ease the transition and give every student the chance he or she deserves to conquer the assessments."
