Blackboard Learn Gets Dropbox Integration
Thanks to a new partnership announced at the Educause 2016 conference, Blackboard Learn users will now be able to collaborate on documents using the cloud sharing platform Dropbox. As part of the integration, users will be able to upload documents to Dropbox, share them with others and collaborate in a secure environment.
"By enabling existing Dropbox workflows within Blackboard's LMS, our partnership will make collaboration between the platforms even easier, while providing additional visibility for schools. Dropbox continues to focus on pursuing partnerships and integrations that make it the best place for instructors and students to get work done," said Jason Katcher, Head of Education for Dropbox, in a prepared statement announcing the partnership.
According to Dropbox, the integration is seamless, allowing Learn users to access course materials via Dropbox without leaving the Blackboard Learn environment.
Dropbox is exhibiting in booth 115 at the Educause 2016 conference being held in Anaheim, CA this week. They're also presenting a session Thursday, Oct. 27 highlighting how four different universities use their tool for collaboration. Blackboard, which will be in booth 1239, will be presenting one session Tuesday, Oct. 25 and two sessions Wednesday, Oct. 26.
