New Caseload Management System Supports K–12 Healthcare Teams

Invo Healthcare has launched a new platform, called Insight, to help K–12 health professionals collaborate with each other to better help students in need.

The electronic health record platform supports Invo's Integrated Multidisciplinary Program to Address Childhood Trauma (IMPACT) model of coordinating teams such as behavior analysts, mental health clinicians, and support professionals.

Insight allows professionals to share information and make "data-driven decisions" to help students, the company said, taking into account "multiple facets of treatment and trauma history." Professionals can also track outcomes and better manage caseloads.

According to a May 2022 report by the National Center for Education Statistics, 70% of public schools reported a marked increase in students seeking mental health services, especially since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. School personnel observed depression, anxiety, and trauma among students.

The Insight platform is available to those school districts who have adopted the IMPACT model, the company said. District dashboards will load later this fall, with information on goals and progress; it will also count the number of students who have suffered adverse childhood events. This will help school districts to determine which resources to employ more quickly to help students.

Few, if any, EHR platforms have been specifically designed for services in the school setting, leaving clinicians and behavioral health professionals to navigate a web of systems to capture and manage the data and case management details that are essential to the delivering successful outcomes," said Matt Stringer, CEO of Invo Healthcare. "We're streamlining the process so clinicians can focus on meeting the unique needs of each student."
