Classroom technology provider SMART Technologies recently included the Inclusive Learning Bundle, a set of products designed to support diverse learning needs.

The bundle offers a variety of ways for students to interact with learning content, without relying solely on spoken or written language, the company explained in a news announcement. Tools in the bundle include:

  • SMART Board RX Series interactive display, with options including a multi-colored stylus, embedded experience to engage students and save teachers time, and unique student device integration and security. When purchased in the bundle, the display is covered by a SMART Assure Warranty for 7 years.
  • Customizable tool explorer stamps, which can be tailored to imprint words, images, AAC symbols, and more onto the interactive display.
  • Lumio Spark plan subscription:Lumio is a web-based tool that provides multimodal learning experiences, supporting various learning preferences and styles.
  • Optional height adjustable stand, compliant with UL standards for safety and stability.

In collaboration with the University of Melbourne, SMART Technologies is also launching research on the learning experiences of students with autism and ADHD, the company shared in the announcement. The study will engage neurodivergent learners to "identify the tools that best support their academic and social needs," the company said, and "seeks to demonstrate that technology that champions Universal Design for Learning principles can help to eliminate barriers for neurodivergent students."
