Partnership Adds Snorkl AI Feedback to Math Instruction for Modern Classrooms Project

Modern Classrooms Project (MCP), a nonprofit focused on mastery-based instruction in mathematics, has partnered with AI-powered assessment tool Snorkl to add AI feedback capabilities to MCP's math curriculum.

Teachers using MCP's self-paced, mastery-based instructional model to teach math can now use Snorkl to give students immediate, AI-generated feedback on end-of-lesson formative assessments, the organization explained in a news announcement. The feedback prompts students to explain their thinking and provides the opportunity to revise and reassess their work until they demonstrate mastery. In addition, teachers receive AI-powered insights from Snorkl to help determine which students need what support.

"Teachers' time in class is both valuable and scarce, and Snorkl helps Modern Classroom educators optimize it," said former math teacher and Modern Classrooms Project CEO Kareem Farah, in a statement. "Snorkl's data-driven insights help teachers identify who needs help with what, and Snorkl's AI feedback gives teachers the time to provide it. In that way, Modern Classroom educators can use Snorkl to its fullest instructional potential, and Snorkl can supercharge those educators' math classrooms."

Wide release of the tool is planned for the 2027-2028 school year. For more information, visit the Modern Classrooms Project site.
