NEC DISPLAY SOLUTIONS introduces two new short-throw portable projectors: the NP500WS, which features a 1,280 x 800 resolution at 2,100 lumens, and the NP600S, which has a 1,024 x 768 resolution at 2,600 lumens. Both projectors have a 600:1 contrast ratio and are ideal for use in small spaces. Automatic vertical keystone correction allows them to be tilted up or down and still produce a clear, square image—even when projecting onto the same wall on which they’re mounted. The projectors can be used on walls, screens, or interactive whiteboards from only 3 feet, 10 inches away. Price: $1,199 each; rebates available for participants in NEC’s Star Student program.
