ViewSonic Launches New Family of Touch-Enabled Displays

This week at InfoComm 2012, ViewSonic introduced a new family of large format, interactive commercial displays. The CDP4235T (42-inch), CDP4635T (46-inch) and CDP6530T (65-inch) feature finger or stylus optical touch capabilities, with four-point touch on the 42-inch and 46-inch models and dual touch on the 65-inch display.

The new displays offer full HD 1920 x 1080p panel resolution with up to 500 nits of brightness (450 nits on the CDP4235T; 400 nits on the CDP4635T), a 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (4,000:1 static contrast on the CDP4235T and CDP4635T) and 8ms response time. All models are equipped with Intel’s Open Plugable Specification (OPS) slot for media player integration, in addition to the traditional HDMI, DVI, VGA, YPbPr, S video, and CVBS inputs.

Other features include:

  • Remote and front panel lockout
  • Built-in PIP (picture in picture)
  • AC power plug for added media player support
  • Internal scheduling functionality
  • RS232 loop through for automated control
  • Two integrated speakers
  • Video wall support

The displays function in portrait or landscape orientations, with a tilt feature to accommodate any viewing environment.
