Nureva Launches Cloud-Based, Standards-Aligned E-Portfolio Tool

Nureva has launched Troove, a cloud-based and standards-aligned e-portfolio tool for K-12 students.

"From the Troove software Web client or the iPad and Android tablet apps, teachers create class projects," according to a news release. "Based on project requirements, students prepare their work, reflecting on what they learned by commenting in their project space. Students can also include documents, attachments, media files and links to YouTube, Vimeo and Google Drive within their project. Once students have submitted their work, teachers use the rubric to assess the project. Feedback on students' work can be provided by their teachers, peers and parents."

Features of Troove include:

  • Common Core State Standard-based rubrics for easy grading;
  • Parent engagement tools;
  • The ability for students to showcase evidence of their achievements;
  • A teacher dashboard with alerts on project activity, allowing teachers to monitor the frequency and flow of student communication on collaborative work;
  • The ability for students to receive feedback and support from peers and parents.

"Nureva Troove digital portfolio software gives students the opportunity to reflect in a meaningful way on what they learn, why they learn and how they learn," said Nancy Knowlton, Nureva president and CEO, in a prepared statement. "It informs parents of regular activities in class, helping them to be more aware and involved in their child's education."

Annual subscriptions for Troove are $9 per student. Teachers can try Troove for 90 days for free. More information is available at nureva.com.
