Key Digital Unveils New Technology to Enhance Video Distribution, Digital Signage
Key Digital, which
manufactures technology for HDTV, has launched three new HDMI
switchers that
can enhance the use of campus-wide video distribution and digital
signage.
The new HD over IP devices
allow an expandable system that can be scaled to fit just about any
installation and can add up 1,024 Tx (transmitting) units and unlimited
Rx (receiving)
units for customization purposes.
The new KD-IP120Tx supports
HDMI pass-through to receive video or extract audio on the transmitting
side.
With the new KD-IP120Tx or the KD-IP120Rx extenders, you can expand a
system by
up to 64 Tx units or 512 Rx units.
Other features of the new
switchers:
- The ability to connect
through a network IP switch or point-to-point;
- H.264
compression for
large video distribution applications;
- Support for managed
100BaseT or Gigabit network switches;
- Supports
for HDMI pass-through to receive video or extract audio on the transmit side;
- Low-bandwidth data streaming technology to extend WiFi by up to
100 feet
and IP over coaxial by up to 1,000 feet;
- Supports up to
1080p@60 (2.25Gbps) and compatible with DVI1.0/HDMI/HDCP1.x;
- Support for 2ch PCM at
44.1/48kHz;
- Data
stream bandwidth of less
than 15Mbps;
- Web
control interface designed to reduce installation
time and provide basic video setup;
- Full
buffer system designed to manage
TMDS re-clocking and signal re-generation, HDCP authentication to
source and
display and EDID Control handshake;
- EDID
libraries readily available to provide the best setup per source; and
- Color support up to 12
bits/color.
