The ultracompact HL-2040 and HL-2070N are recent additions to Brother’s line of personal laser printers (www.brother.com). The HL-2040 replaces its popular HL-1440 series, while both new laser printers offer even faster speeds and a space-saving design that is almost 40% smaller than their predecessor. The two models feature maximum print speeds of 20 ppm and outstanding print quality via Brother’s HQ1200, which offers up to a 2,400 x 600 dpi resolution. Both laser printers are Windows/Mac compatible, have a 250-sheet input paper capacity, and offer USB 2.0 full-speed and parallel interfaces. The HL-2040 printer has an 8 MB memory capacity, while the HL-2070N features PCL 6 emulation, a built-in Ethernet network interface and 16 MB of standard memory.
