NEC Launches Online IT Games, Classroom Video Contest

NEC 61XR3 Plasma DisplayTo celebrate IT managers nationwide, NEC is launching a series of four fun and challenging online games featuring “NEC IT Guy “ that will test players’ keyboard dexterity, speed and agility. The person with the highest score for each game wins an NEC 61XR3 residential plasma display. The IT Guy game site (www.necitguy.com) also includes tips and tricks for managing projectors and plasma displays, answers to IT managers’ most frequently asked questions, and a glossary of commonly used technical terms in the display market. The promotion runs through Sept. 30, 2005.

In addition, NEC has announced a contest that encourages teachers and students to develop creative two-minute videos showing how display technology would positively affect learning in their classroom. One winner will receive 25 NEC VT47 projectors for his/her school. The contest ends Sept. 1, 2005, and the public can vote for their favorite video on NEC’s Web site during the week of Sept. 26.
