ISI Releases Universal MediaWorks 6.2

Interactive Solutions has released an update to to MediaWorks, a video and multimedia authoring suite targeted toward education. The 6.2 update adds Universal Binary support for native compatibility with Intel-based Mac systems and also includes support for Windows Vista.

MediaWorks (formerly MovieWorks Deluxe) is a video editing and multimedia tool that incorporates animation capabilities, painting and photo editing, audio editing, slideshow presentations, and various other capabilities.

In addition to support for the latest operating systems ad hardware, some of the other changes include:

  • More than 100 "minor improvements and bug fixes" for the Mac version of MediaWorks Author;
  • Menu options for export to iPhone and AppleTV (Mac version);
  • Drag and drop of multiple files (Mac version);
  • Improved help system; and
  • A new Getting Started document .

MediaWorks 6.2 is available as a free update for registered users of version 6.0 or higher. The full-version price is $79.95. Lab Packs are available in two-, five-, 10-, 25-, and 100-unit configurations. A trial version is also available.
