Teachers Win Classroom Makeovers; New Competition Set for Fall

eInstruction has announced the winners of its "Content Meets Technology" sweepstakes, which challenged educators to share their vision of the role of technology in education ... in 250 characters or fewer. The company also announced that it will be reviving its Video Makeover Contest, which is set to open for the second year in September 2008.
In the Content Meets Technology contest, teachers submitted short entries addressing technology in education. Winners included:
There were more than 5,000 entries, according to eInstruction. Winners each received more than $8,000 in classroom gear, including:
- Interwrite Board;
- Interwrite Pad;
- Interwrite Workspace with ExamView reader;
- 32-Pad CPS RF Clicker System;
- Epson PowerLite 400W projector;
- Epson short-throw projector wall mount;
- One year subscription to ExamView Learning Series; and
- Installation and online training.
eInstruction said it will also be hosting a new challenge in the fall, the second-annual "Video Makeover Contest," which asks students and teachers to submit music parody videos. That contest will open Sept. 9. Further information, including videos from last year's winners, can be found here.
