The new program will consist of training modules and three to six graduate-level micro-credential programs that can be combined to earn a full master's degree in education with a focus on online and blended learning in elementary and secondary education.
Each micro-credential starts with an overview of a construct or idea in personalized learning supported by research to help educators gain a deeper understanding of its importance in the learning process.

The new tool is integrated with the company's TeachPoint Educator Evaluation Solution and is designed to allow users to incorporate video observation into any part of their educator evaluation process, such as self-evaluation, peer coaching or formal observations.
Preschool teachers in the United States are not as comfortable with science as they are literacy, according to researchers at Michigan State University.
Administered by the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), the academy is designed to help improve the confidence of teachers with students in grades 5-8 as they science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) topics.
Both San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) and Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) are continuing their existing partnerships with the SF-based cloud computing company, and will receive $7 million and $5.2 million respectively.
The badges are based on the Open Badge standards and will be issued to users as they are awarded grades to be displayed or otherwise shared.
The partnership will also allow districts to track and manage PD payments across the entire district and to simplify offering PD to neighboring districts.
While states have all kinds of requirements laying out how teachers should be prepared for the classroom, they don’t often give back information on how those teachers do in the classroom that could lead to improvements in their educator preparation programs.
