Wireless Keyboard Uses RF Technology
Exploiting new radio frequency technology, the Wireless Surfboard provides keyboard and mouse operation of IBM-compatible computers at distances of 50 feet or more. The Surfboard consists of a compact, 83-key keyboard, a touch-sensitive mouse touchpad with dual mouse buttons, and an RF transmitter/receiver. A mouse port lets users connect their own mouse or other pointing device, if desired. RF d'es not require line-of-sight, so the keyboard need not be aimed at its receiver (as would an infrared keyboard). According to the firm, RF provides a higher level of data integrity.
