Motorola's Spirit "Pro" Series VHF radios provide a powerful tool for supervisors who must communicate with employees or work crews, whether in large indoor or outdoor sites. Coded Squelch/Interference Protection blocks out unwanted conversations from nearby users of other wireless devices. Radios have passed the firm's Accelerated Life Test, which simulates five years of field stress, including four-foot drops onto concrete floors. The Spirit "Pro" Series features 1-watt transmit power, 1- or 2-channel modes, four dealer-selectable VHF frequencies and a desktop charging tray. Units operate at a range of 2-4 miles in flat, open areas. Also included are a 10-hour battery charger, nickel cadmium rechargeable battery and removable belt clip.
